Nitrous Oxide (N2O2) is a non-allergenic,
non-irritating gas that affects the central
nervous system. It's one of the safest forms of
sedation available with very few, if any, side
effects and takes effect within 3-5 minutes
Nitrous Oxide offers many benefits to the
patient during the dental treatment. It reduces
the discomfort or anxiety associated with an
injection of local anesthesia; you remain
conscious during treatment; gag reflex and flow
of saliva are somewhat decreased; and probably
the most importantly, it helps to eliminate fear
and reduces anxiety by helping you relax.
